Invigorate Your Skin

in·vig·or·ate

  [in-vig-uh-reyt]
verb (used with object), in·vig·or·at·ed, in·vig·or·at·ing.
to give vigor to; fill with life and energy; energize.

That's exactly what this baby does to my skin.

St Ives Apricot Scrub has been a staple in my skin care routine for about 7 or 8 years now. I use it about 2-3 times a week in the shower. I love body/face scrubs which are slightly more on the abrasive side because then I can really feel them cleaning my skin (there are others in the range which are less dense/abrasive).

The scrub contains particles of walnut shell and corn kernel meal (flour which is ground from dried corn) which exfoliate my skin deeply, leaving it looking fresh and glowing after every use. It also contains apricot oil which is known to hydrate and nourish the skin.

The scrub is sweet smelling, like fruit and is a light orange colour, quite close to the colour of the fruit it is named after.

What I love most about this scrub is that it does not dry out my skin at all. I don't have that horrible tight-skin feeling after washing my face, and as someone who has combination/dry skin, I find this to be perfect for regular use.

There are four scrubs in the range: Naturally Clear Apricot Scrub - for blemish and blackhead control; Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub - for a deeper, invigorating clean; Timeless Skin Apricot Scrub - to renew and firm and Sensitive Skin Apricot Scrub - to gently cleanse your skin.

The scrubs are priced at £4 in most stores where they are available, and for 150ml of product (which lasts me AGES as you really don't need to use a lot) I think this is well worth the price. I have recommended this scrub to so many friends and other bloggers and they have all loved this product. I even bought the gentle scrub for my other half, who has sensitive skin, and he loved it too!

What is your favourite exfoliating scrub?

  1. I've only used St Ives. once, when my mum gave me a small tube of a scrub! I like it, so may have to actually invest once I run out of my current scrubs! xo
